Artist Statement

“As for my view of Art, I’m aware of the limiting aspects of any definition, but I have no trouble, for instance, in accepting the widely-held notion that the function of Art is that of imposing unity and measure to a world often perceived as fragmented and protean.”

Lorenzo Luciani is a contemporary Italian artist whose creative journey transitioned from teaching and translating to a full-time dedication to his art.

His works are featured in the permanent collection at the ArteOn Museum in Castel di Lama and in numerous private collections. Additionally, Luciani’s art is showcased at the Sweet Art Gallery, where several of his paintings have been sold. His unique style has garnered critical attention, including a recent article by Joan Lluis Montané in Madrid, who praised Luciani's vibrant and intuitive approach to painting.

For Luciani, art serves as a bridge between the inner and outer worlds, acting as a form of rebellion against determinism. He remains deeply inspired by his roots, frequently returning to his beloved hometown to create.
